Recognition of Sadr inherited from the Gaddafi era. Since 2011 and institutional fragmentation, no clear reaffirmation: largely frozen position, de facto neutrality. At the same time, Morocco is an actor of mediation/reconciliation between Libyan factions (Skhirat/Bouznika process).
